Overview

Proxel® BN is a formaldehyde-free, BIT-based in-can preservative designed to provide long-lasting protection against microbial contamination in water-based products. Developed by LANXESS, this preservative contains 10% active 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and is especially effective in formulations where regulatory compliance and minimal VOCs are required. Its broad-spectrum efficacy makes it ideal for applications in paints, adhesives, construction materials, and more. Proxel® BN is pH-stable, environmentally compliant, and compatible with a wide range of chemistries.
