Proxel® 101 is a broad-spectrum, water-based in-can preservative designed for the protection of aqueous systems from microbial spoilage. It contains 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) as the active ingredient at 1.5% concentration, making it suitable for applications requiring low active levels while maintaining robust antimicrobial efficacy. Developed by LANXESS, Proxel® 101 is formaldehyde-free and ideal for environmentally sensitive formulations. It is highly effective against bacteria, yeast, and fungi, ensuring product stability during storage and use.
