Mergal® BIT20 is a formaldehyde-free, broad-spectrum in-can preservative developed by Arxada (formerly Troy Corporation). It contains 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) as its active ingredient at a 20% concentration, offering excellent long-term protection against bacterial and fungal contamination in water-based formulations. Mergal® BIT20 is ideal for eco-friendly and low-VOC products and is compatible with a wide range of industrial systems. Its thermal stability and wide pH tolerance make it a reliable solution for demanding applications requiring robust microbial control.
