Mergal® 174IIP is a formaldehyde-free, broad-spectrum in-can preservative engineered to protect aqueous formulations against bacterial and fungal spoilage during storage and use. Developed by Arxada (formerly Troy Corporation), this product utilizes a synergistic blend of active ingredients, including 1,2-Benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and other isothiazolinones, providing robust antimicrobial efficacy even at low use levels. Mergal® 174IIP is ideal for sensitive formulations due to its low VOC content and excellent compatibility with a wide variety of systems.
