Overview

DMDM Hydantoin (1,3-Dimethylol-5,5-dimethylhydantoin) is a highly efficient formaldehyde donor preservative that protects aqueous-based formulations from microbial contamination. It works by slowly releasing small, safe amounts of formaldehyde to inhibit microbial growth over time.
